A fun activity is marble roling using about 5 marbles or more placeing a A4 peice of paper in a try or bowl. Dip the marbles in differnet colour paints and roll the marbles in the tray. My younger children and some of the older children love doing these making differnet patterns.

try using golf balls for even younger children.....no worries about swallowing marbles then..............( reminder to self---- make sure they are not hubby's competition balls):)

Do it with footballs and a builders tray for a fun outside activity, use lining paper as a cheap surface to paint

Try it with things that aren't completely round as well. We have some egg shaped bouncy ball things that work well and the kids are interested to see how they roll.

Another top tip is to use cereal boxes. This tends to stop the balls jumping out if the little ones get over enthusiastic;)

Good idea manjay I did this activity recently with cat litter trays but the marble kept jumping out of my 2 year old's one!
I had the monthly theme of animals and I cut out the shapes of zebras on white paper and used black paint for the marbles to roll around and make the stripes. Good fun!

Hi
That looks great fun.
Will definately be doing that, it looks good for any age child which is nice as you don't need to worry trying to do different things.
Thanks for the idea,
