Trying to solve the problem of not spending my life making endless drinks! What about this? Though it doesnt say how many litres it holds. But I am thinking the after schoolies could help themselves.

what solutions do you use?

Oh it looks good

But like you say it depends on how much it holds

I suppose you could look at the size and sort of judge from that ?

Looks good but ds would have it emptied onto the carpet in minutes :panic:

I just have large sports cap bottles for each child kept on the coffee table. I rarely have to refill them as they're quite big (got them from h&m) If we used cups ds would spill them all.

That looks fab! But as you say depends on how much it holds.

It doesn't seem like it holds a huge amount, I am thinking of less than 2 litres if you hold your hand around to make the rough dimensions, plus it has the bit for freezing taking up some of the inside space.

I personally would buy the larger sports bottles and use those, and if you are getting through two per night per child, then you could have a water only policy on the refill which is easily done straight from the tap!

They have those in Waitrose too, in the picnic/BBQ section.
Looking at it, I think it would hold about 4-6 beakers worth.

I have this similar one from Lakeland, cheaper too.

It holds 3 1/2 litres and the kids love it. I tend to fill it up in the morning and put it in the fridge. Then when the after schoolers come, take it out and put the frozen block in and then leave it outside with cups. They think it's great helping themselves and they tend to drink more water as well.

A friend got one from Ikea and it was drained by 7 kids in about an hour :)

Not a lot I am afraid and you would be forever filling it up. if you want a drink dispenser why not buy a water cooler with the big gallon drums that go on top

I noticed and was shocked by you Sarah!!!

They use the second (and more sensible option) one at the local Children's Centre.

I am in between liking the idea of the water dispenser but worried what a 2, 3 and 4 yr old would do with all that water (once thy have drunk half a cup!). Think I will stick with individual bottles!!
