hey guys, living in a maisonnett is hard not having a garden.... so i have contacted the council and applied for an allotment plot... with the summer coming i thought i would be great to get the kids involved in planting flowers and vegetables. Ya never know they may start eatting more....

i thought we would try and grow carrots, potatoes, strawberrys, tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce. they can take some home with them and i thought when the tomatoe and strawberry plants get to a good size i could pot some for them to take home n plant in there garden.

Do you think i need to contact ofsted n let them know?

I think that's a brilliant idea and Ofsted will love it!

Not sure why you should contact them so long as you have done a full risk assessment - esp about the boundaries to the allotment and children not escaping etc...

Maybe someone else has experience of this... :D

I agree with Sarah its a lovely idea hope you get a plot

I dont think you would have to inform Ofsted well I would not just do your risk ass much in the same way you would if it were your own garden

I have some ideas for gardening on the old forum I will bring them over

Good luck and have fun
