From what I gather the fees varies from all over the country and depending on what Doctors surgery you have.

I guess that they know that if you want it enough you will pay for it.......unfair I know:(

I had to pay £60 but other local childminders paid as low as £15.

Its upto the individual practice to charge what they like.

It's purely down to what each doctor's surgery charges.

I am also having to re-register after moving from England to Wales and as far as I know I am not being charged, haven't had a bill yet anyway.

What start up grant? We get sweet nothing here!

Oh I tell a lie, I got the NCMA toolkit free, after fighting for 3 weeks to get it.

My hubby took his in yesterday and he was charged £32. We thought that was quite a lot, but having seen some of these posts it's not too bad. I still can't believe they charge so much for looking over a form we have already half filled in ourselves!!!

usually my gp will charge 70 odd quid for a medical report but when i told them what it was for they actually recognised that i would be serving the community and done it for 30 quid instead..which i thought was rather honourable, dunno if it maybe worth playing the sympathy card a little????!!!!

I didnt get charged a thing. My doctor just took the form off me and said 'no worries i'll do it today'

He's always been nice to me so maybe it was a favour

my doctor charged me £35 but his charges were £70 so he did half it for me, but it went straight into his personal account not the practise one as the receptionist told me !!! and I had to write my cheeque out to him not the surgery xxxx

Mine was £25 I think, certainly no more than £30.

Extortionate considering she basically just signed the thing! Don't think she filled much in at all if I remember rightly.

I paid nothing for mine but that is only because i am with the med centre on a RAF base and they are not allowed to charge for things like that.

I know someone in kings lynn who was charged £75 though!

Mine was £20, which I think is quite reasonable anything over that is a bit excessive!
These doctors can get away with charging what they like, makes me mad:mad:

Mine was £20. He was really good though. I'd had post-natal depression with my daughter and declared it on the form, so they had to write back to him for more details. He rang me and asked me to go to the surgery so that I was there when he was filling it in and made sure I was happy with what he was writing.

My doctor charged £21, but I got this refunded. There was a form when I did my induction course for childminding and was sent a cheque a few weeks later.

I havent got the form yet to fill in but I have made enquiries and they said they normally charge between £10 and £20 for Ofsted ones. I thought that was a lot lol until reading some of the amounts here.

I paid £10.00 to my doc last year but am sure I paid the same in another surgery years ago, so didn't think it was bad, I think they have a ****** cheek though. As a teacher I used to sign loads of passport forms for nothing and I had my daughters signed by a neighbour who was a bank manager who said that seen as it was me all I had to do was bring him back a bottle of a particular wine. A friend of mine is married to a doctor and he didn't charge a dinner lady at the local school for signing a form for her doctor. Just depends on how tight and selfish someone is I suppose.

Mine was a tenner, as well. I never got charged for forms in The States but then, for all I know, they were claiming it through my insurance, who knows?

£80 for ticking a few boxes and signing your name?! :censored: And what ya gonna do? It has to be done. Crazy. Definitely demand a receipt and claim it on your taxes!

Mine charged £15, which isn't bad compared to some but they held up my application for about 5wks. I ended up having to speak to the practice manager to get it sorted, so don't know if that was some kind of discount or not.
