i leave home at 3pm drive to one school and pick up mindees then drive to a kids club 3miles away to pick up 2 others, i get back at about 10 to 4, sometimes 4pm or later if i pick up from an after school activity as well.

1 Hr 10 mins as I like to set of early in case my son (3) refuses to walk or has a fall etc on the way so we are not late (I have a thing about not being late for school pick ups - really bothers me!) The actual walk takes 20 mins max but it's the "forgot my jumper, can't find my reading bag" etc etc that usually takes up time, that's when they are out on time. One of my mindees is ALWAYS last out

Morning -20 mins max which includes 10 mins hanging around for them all to go in (they like to play on the adventure playgroud bit before school starts)
Afternoon- 15 mins as no playing usually.

I currently don't have a school run:clapping: although nursery run is a 45minute round trip for me at the moment

If I was to do a school run to my sons school I can leave at 3.10 and be back for 3.30 providing my sons remember everything they should be!!!

Only have to go to the bus stop and no to school, so we leave at 3.10pm and depending on how slow we walk get in around 4.20pm

If we walk to school and back I leave at 2.50pm with kids in puschair no walking  would take too long and then walking home leave school at 3.30 get in around 4.50pm

For obvious reasons I mainly collect them from the bus stop

Morning run is 10 minutes in the car or 45 minutes walking

Afternoon run is 1 hour in the car and 1.5 hours walking (have to collect from Nursery and two different schools in this time)

It really depends which child is walking.

Normally 45mins to 1 hour. From September I shall be doing this three times a day so I expect to be as fit and slim as you Fiona

my morning school run - 8.15 - takes 15 minutes to walk, 10-15 mins to hang around ot playground, waiting for doors to open, and 10-15 mins to walk home ( depends on which children are walking home, or if its just a buggy! LOL! ) so 40-45 mins

afternoon, leave by 2.45pm, collect 3.10 & 3.20 form split site and hopefully all out by 3.30! if we go straight home, usually home by 3.45ish, but if we go to the park, it could be 5pm !!!

My morning one takes from 8.25-0900 Mon Tue and Wed and 8.25 - 845 Thur and Fri.

My afternoon one takes from 245-345 each day.

I think it has something to do with the number of schools I go to and the walk from parking the car to getting to the school and waiting for them to get out!

I love school holidays!!:D

I leave at 2.50 and get back at 3.50. I have to do infants first then walk on to juniors (further away) and do a drop off to a mum who works in school office so bit of hanging around.

In all it's probably a 30 minute walk done in three ten minute stages.

12 mins from school to my house walking.

Have done it sooooo many times I know every paving stone by name:laughing:

Can take much longer though if big ones dawdle, fight, mess about, forget things and have to go back etc.

Nursery run at lunchtime, 20 mins for me to walk down, 30 mins to walk back or add on another 30 ins if the weather is so bad we chicken out and go to get the bus instead, takes longer but at least we are dry!

Only got till 1st July and then that's it :clapping: as schools break up, and after the hols S will change to a holidays only mindee :jump for joy:

I purposely do not take on school aged children as I don't drive (yet!) but manage a nuresry run if i HAVE TO.

Half an hour school run, one pre school 15 mins and the other is always late but of course you cant' take the risk of getting there late. They can be upto 15 mins late coming out!

If I use the car I leave at 2.30 and arrive home at 3.30 or 10 minutes later if I also pick up my 13 year daughter from the High school.

It would take about 40 minutes plus each way if I were to walk with the buggy and little ones in tow, so very rarely walk.
