before you get upset i do see the value of having a safeguarding chn policy but i need help with arguments for having one for my DHC!!!

what should i put for 'discuss why it is important that childminders have a safeguarding children policy'?

i've thought of:
- showing you are serious about safeguarding to parents
- demonstrating clear guidelines for assistants
- having important info to hand such as phone numbers for police and safeguarding board
- warning parents that you will report worries and may have to break confidentiality

i'm thinking of putting something to do with keeping knowledge up to date but can't think how to word it!

first and foremost, "to put the safety of the children as paramount" (from the Children Act).

And all the other things you said already.
