Hello again lol you'll be sick of me soon!
I'm buying various bits and bobs now for when i start up, but what if I don't get registered til next april for example (if house takes longer than expected, aliens steal my crb forms etc) can i still claim back the money i have spent this tax year and if so what heading do i put that under?

Hi
I crossed 2 tax years when I re-registered last year and yse you can still put them through. The tax man said to keep them all seperate, in an envelope or folder marked "Start-up Costs", then put them through your accounts on the first day you actually work (earn money) not when your cert comes through, on one line marked "Start-up costs". It doesn't matter if they cross years:)

oh that's good to know.
I crossed over tax years this time round as I just got registered and was hoping it would be as straight forward as you just described!!
Marzi,
I am sure you will get registered well before the next tax year!!!

I hope so, just wanted to be covered for every eventuality really. I have 4 weeks left of my ICP and hope to be ready to send off my Ofsted forms by then.
