No, I don't work bank holidays, it's my time with family. These are also my only paid time off:)

I would if I was needed, but at the moment all parents have bank holidays off so there is no need.

Hi Nicole,

Not reg yet as you know but I would prob work them if needed to. I have always worked them in previous jobs cos we were busier then so I have never had luxury of them off.

what are you planning on doing?:)

drat clicked on the wrong one. I saw the first post
do you work on bank holidays or not? and just clicked on the no vote without realising that I should have clicked on yes as I do take bank holidays off.

Silly me

I am willing to work bank holidays but charge £25.00 per hour. This seems a lot but it is double time for 3 children, otherwise it wouldn't be worth it.

That does sound very cheap for a Bank Holiday - perhaps you should put your rates up next time - double fees at least is reasonable.

I do and have done today and only charge my normal rate of £4/hr.

My husband has to work bhs if he's on shift so it makes no difference to me. My one child who is contracted for mondays takes them as holiday so pays half so any children i get are an extra and therefore i only charge normal rate. they don't work so if i charged more i wouldn't get any kids at all. if my husband was off shift and home i would just choose not to advertise to take any children.

I have always said that I would work them but I have rarely worked that day. I do charge extra ph and normal fee if they do no come as I am open. DH has always worked shifts so an extra child isn't a problem.

I dont but then I have never been asked. Current Mum doesnt work bank holidays either so not an issue.

I have put in my fees that I will charge double if required to work.

I don't work bank holidays as dh doesn't work. None of parent's need me anyway & I offer to have the children on the Fridays instead if needed (I usually have Fridays off every week)
I don't charge if I don't work bank holidays.

I work them and charge 4.50 which is only a pound more, i work them simply cos i have my daughter anyway, and its easier with more than one

Also i rememeber the nightmare i used to have looking for bh cover

Today we walked to town, went to squirrrel park, went down the river, lovely weather. I done everything i normally would with my daughter, and got paid.

Maybe when shes older i wont work it but at the moment it suits me better :)
