Hi

I just want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone on the forum. I had my inspection today and got Outstanding.:clapping:

This forum has helped me a lot and I'm sure I wouldn't have got an overall outstanding without your help:thumbsup:

I'm a bit shell shocked at the moment but just needed to come on here to say thanks to everyone

Thanks Angel

I would love to celebrate tonight but I have a Promoting Positive Behaviour course to go to tonight and if we miss a night we don't get our certificate, and we all know that Ofsted like to see them

Most of the local childminders are having their inspection either this month or next, so we've said we will all go out for a meal at the end of March :)

Hi Emma

As soon as I get my report I'll let you read it. I haven't seen it myself so I still don't know how I got Outstanding. My Inspector said she will try and get it done over the weekend but I don't know when I'll get it!!

Thanks to everyone for their kind words as I've been feeling a bit down, I know that sounds silly but when I've told my minded parents I got outstanding they've all said said "Oh that's nice, what happens now" and I've had to say well nothing.

And it made me think, that yes, I worked really hard for this grade but for what!

I think it's only us childminders that actually know how hard we all work every day, evenings and weekends.

So thank you to everyone, because you've all helped by your congratulations you've sent me.

Cherry x :)

Well done too, I have just started recently and will be due an inspection in about six months, and I agree this site will be so helpful in getting organised.

Would be interested in reading your report so might be nice to put a link in when you have it.

Well, at that point, you should have said.." It means that my fees are going up !"

Hope you are feeling more positive about it.I don't think parents know how much work you have had to put into it.

Know how you are feeling. I felt the same and still do a bit now. It is such a hush hush subject as you don't want to mention it to other childminders as it feels like boasting. There is also that dreadful pressure to maintain the standard!! Nice to be able to get the praise from people on this site. so well done and try to enjoy the moment. x

Thanks again for all your kind words, yes I do keep quiet about it when talking to other childminders because I don't want to seem as if I'm boasting.

I keep looking on Ofsted website to see if my reports up yet, I know they said it would take 2 weeks, but you never know.

Good luck to everyone that has an inspection coming up.

Hi

I know just how you feel. Most parents haven't got a clue about what Outstanding really means - so I've been laying it on really thick to them and saying top 3% etc etc. because I want them to know it's something out of the ordinary!

Well done you

Hilary

Thanks Hilary,

You've been childminding for a long time so you know how much it's changed and how hard we have to work now with so much paperwork.

Congrats on your Outstanding:)
