I have received my Certificate of registration today, so pleased to have it at last!!

Can i please ask you all if I must have my insurance before I can look after any children? Reason i'm asking, as I know I must for the young ones, is that i have had an enquiry from a mum who needs her two children collected from school some evenings after half term and I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do it?
My council pay for my insurance for the first year so it has only been sent off to apply today after i had e mailed them a copy of my certificate.

I bought my insurance through NCMA and although they can be dead slow at sending stuff out they e mailed a copy of my policy number to me the day after I ordered it. May be worth phoning them

I have a contact at our local NCMA office who will ring through and get the insurance activated for me, as soon as I a in possession of my certificate.

Thank you everyone for all your help and good wishes. I received my cover note from NCMA today so now I am all set. The important bit now, I need to find children!
