I am thinking of going with MM instead of NCMA, but I can't work out from the website what I get from what when ordering stuffs!

I want contracts, some basic forms, insurance and a pretty box to keep it all in.

I was thinking the below, but what exactly are the 11 seperate childminding form packs? And does it come with a contract? Or do I have to buy paperwork seperatly? Oh I'm all confused now.

New Childminder Organiser
The New complete ChildMinder Organiser contains
- New, beautiful and 'kinder to the environment' Carry Case
- Child records ring binder
- Business records ring binder
- Space for a third ring binder (available as extra)
- 16 index divider cards
- 11 separate childminding form packs to help you comply with the requirements of your childminding registration

You don't pay to be a member of MM... it's an insurance company.

But it does offer a lot of extras.

If you look at the front page of the forum Sara there is a banner link straight to the MM order page!! :D

Thanks ladies, I've had a good look at the website and I think I will be choosing MM over NCMA, purely because of the money. I don't want to pay to become a member of NCMA when so many are saying they are not getting the help they want/need and paying more for the same services. Plus I seem to get all the help and advise I need from here anyways!

I'll come round tonight Emma to have a look at the paperwork, and when my certificate arrives I'll go back to the website and buy some stuffs... Along with ebay for a double buggy!

Hi,I am thinking about joining MM ,I have just had a look on their website and I am unclear as to what you actually get :(
As far as I can see the cost is £126 and you get
EasyMind Package - from £126.00

The Morton Michel EasyMind package includes:

ChildMinder Organiser - designed to help you keep your records straight and in line with legal requirements. The complete Organiser consists of 14 sections that are contained within a practical, attractive ring binder.

Fire Blanket - conforms to BSEN standard and is 1997 Kitemark certified.

ChildMinder Insurance - a 1 year specialist ChildMinder insurance policy that covers you for £5million public liability, £10 million employer's liability and third property insurance of £1000 as well as £50,000 legal expenses cover and 24/7 helplines.

Does anyone know if any paperwork is included in the organiser i.e. contracts, register etc.....
Thanks in advance I am confused :( x x x

From what I could work out, the paperwork isn't incuded. Well, some is, but some isn't. If you go through the form section some say they are included in such and such pack, but contracts didn't seem to be one of them.

Had a look at the MM stuff, it's all good and the paperwork is included, I think I'll send them an email to explain people are put off because it is not clear that paprework is included in their packages.

I have joined MM and just wondering how long it takes for the certificate to arrive in the post ? Have printed if so not a real major worry ( if its the same one i have printed ). Reason i ask is that our post around here leaves alot to be desired ( am recieving my neighbours post not mine )

Having said that - i did order some forms etc from MM on wednesday and it arrived this morning ( still shocked postie got it in the right door lol ) which is good considering how long my friend had to wait for her ncma stuff

Thanks
