Do you have to keep diaries for over eights, do Ofsted read like to see them, or do you just do it for under eights. also when EYFS come in do you just have to do diaries for under fives, or do you still have to do diaires for over fives.

I think it would be considered to do diaries for all children that you have in your care.

Some people wouldn't necessarily do them for over 8's but I have in the past......it is up to you.

I have a folder for my over 8s with all their work - pictures etc
Not so much a daily diary but just all their work

I do like angel - I have a folder with their work in and I add photos when I take them... a nice momento when they leave.

Ofsted are unable to tell me at the moment what will replace the national standards for 5 - 8 year olds... sure we'll find out when they've made something up! :D
