charges for different hours each week?

I have had an enquiry from a mum wanting 2 days care 1 week, and 1 and a half days the next week.i know i should really charge 2 days fee a week as wouldn't be able to fill the space but i feel a bit mean really! what do others do in this situation? its only half a days fee so i suppose she should pay it and maybe go shopping or have time to herself for a few hours. thats what i would do!

I personally would charge for the 2 days both weeks as like you said you wont fill the space. but it is upto you, cant see her finding a c/m that can do the on/off weeks iyswim

It's allways difficult when this happens. I'd be the same, but would end up charging for the 2 days. As you say, you can't fill the space for every other week. I'm sure she'll understand. After all we are not a charity, as I've learned the hard way.:laughing:

I'd charge for 2 days each week, if she doesn't use it then thats up to her.

I would charge for two days too. Why not suggest she uses the extra half day to do something for herself ? hairdressers , shopping etc or even just catch up with the housework.

saw the mum this afternoon and was dreading telling her that she would have to pay for 2 full days! but needn't have worried she was fine about it!
Just hope she rings me again with the go ahead:)

Cool at least that was an easy one - some can be quite fickle! I had one who didn't realise I would be charging whilst child was at pre-school (she gets dropped off at 7.30am!) and said she would have to think it over during the weekend and get back to me - I think she was trying to see if I would back down! Needless to say I didn't and her DD comes to me 2 days a week and loves it! :laughing: :clapping:
