Hi all I have just registered with my local environmental health and was wondereing if anyone has ever had a visit from them and what to expect.

Several of us have and it varies across the country - some LA's are more zealous about it.

Mine - the lady came in - sat in the playroom, we talked I showed her the better food pack - talked a bit more and she went. She didn't even go in my kitchen (and I had defrosted the freezer!!!!).

Im in Enfield and had my inspection last week. Was a bit like Pipsqueak said - the guy sat in my dining room and talked through the safer food pack with me. He did go into the kitchen, but only at my request to take the temp of my fridge. He gave me a report and told me he would send me a certificate! I had spent ages cleaning my kitchen, even the bit around the extractor fan and he was not in the slightest bit interested.
