A childminder friend is on hol and i'm going to be dropping off her mindee at school for 2 days. Each day is less than an hour that i'm going to have him, do i need to do a contract or not as it's under 2hrs? What paperwork would i need, would it just be contact details? Thanks Sarah

Personally i wouldn't bother with a contract, i would get a copy from your friend of the child record form and ask that they sign your permission forms and that you have all of their contact details and they have yours, if it was just these short one off days.

If you covered in an emergency for sickness then i prob wouldn't sign a contract either, even tho thinking about it for insurance purposes you probably should have a contract, but it really does seem a waste of paper!!!

No doubt someone will follow with the letter of the law, and then at least you can choose to follow it or not!
