Which figure for tax credits

hiya

Im up to my eyes in doing my tax return

which ammount do I give to the child tax credit when I update them

the figure before expences or the one after

and also if I havnt earnt enough to pay tax do I tell the credit people I didnt earn anything

You give them the figure after expenses...

So earnings is £400

Expenses is £250

Final figure is £150

You give Tax credits the £150 figure plus any taxable benefits you might get.

just one more question, I recieved matrnity allowance but thats not taxable I dont think so i dont add that right

You only include it if it is a taxable income... there's a list in the guidance book :D
