Hi Guys,
A quick question, i am looking for a registered childminder to work with me. A lady i know has got a NVQ level 2 in Early Years Development 0-16 years and i wondered if that qualified her to be a childminder or whether she would still need to do the ICP?

Anyone who wants to work as a childminder must do the ICP and paediatric first aid... without that they cannot register. Also they need a CRB.
You do not need ICP to be an assistant. :D

I am registering as a Chldminder and I didnt haveto do the ICP ... I am qualified with a Level 3 in Child Care - (NVQ 3)
You need her to contact the local development worker in your area ... she will be able to tell her what she needs to have in order to Register as a Childminder... With a Level 2 in CCE I would expect she would need to do the ICP ....
as Sarah says....If she works as your assistant she wouldnt need to do the ICP but will need CRB.
