Hi has anyone tried the coloured sand from homebase? thinking of getting it but worried it may stain the patio if it gets wet!

How much are you going to need? I use it indoors and make it from grating chalk and adding it to salt. not quite the same but no stains.

It s actually to go in the sandpit! you can buy it in purple, red and green i think, comes in big bags.

Now that might take a bit of time and a lot of chalk!

I would have thought it was okay otherwise they wouldn't make it. Could you not open a bag and rub a sample in your hands?

Hi
I've been using this and have no problems with stains - although I have mixed it in with a bag of normal sand..... The kids absolutely LOVE it!

I bought red sand at homebase, my lo decided to taste it and ended up looking like a vampire. I've mixed ordinary play sand with it to tone it down a bit.

I PAID £3 for it !! only today. wonder why its just cheap in your homebase, I got a bag of green, thought id mix it with normal sand and see how it goes tommorrow. I also expected the bag to be a bit bigger, you would need a lot to fill a sandpit! be ok if it was only £1.50!!! lol:laughing:
