I've had 7 kids here this afternoon. 3 of my own, my 2 mindees and my sister had an emergency docs appointment to go to but didn't have anyone else to watch her 2 so I've had hers as well.

I panicked for a while about whether I'd still have been within my numbers after she rang to ask but then worked out I'd have 3 under 5, 2 5-8s and 2 over 8s. Phew, panic over!

Not quite sure how the numbers thing works if its just your own kids having friends round etc and not actual mindees though?

We did playdough and went to the park, and I wasn't a nervous wreck by the end of it like I was last week  :clapping:

Amen to that!

Actually it wasn't too bad - the older girls played together and all the younger ones all got on fine so I didn't have any fights to referee or anything. Maybe I *can* do this after all! :)

The numbers apply to anyone you are looking after without their adult in tow
I think NCMA insurance covers you upto 12 children 6 under 8 and 6 over but I wouldn't want to look after that many

You do have to check with your local council, incase you need planning permission for a certain number of children.

I have only had two children plus my own two today. I havent had much to do as they didnt want to do anything I suggested, so I left them to their own devices and just watched!

I have found that as time has gone by I have got more laid back, and taken everything in my stride.
