View Full Version : I had my Pre-Reg visit today

Hi

Well inspector called me last Weds and came round for visit this morning at 9.30. I was so nervous but she was lovely. We went thro the answers I had written in my preparing for your visit book and she seemed very happy with all the answers. She had a walk around the whole house and garden and didn't mention anything that needed doing. She was really nice and helpful and luckily my 2 children were fairly well behaved. I'm so relieved that it's over I can't believe how nervous I was. I hope I get somebody as nice for my first "proper" inspection :) She also seemed to think that Ofsted pay for the CRB and that I don't have to??? Anyone know??

glad everthing went well.Cant help with the crb as because i'm in wales i come under cssiw not ofsted. With a bit of luck someone else will be able to help you.

well done on your pre-reg visit. Sounds like you did great!! I never actually thought about who pays for CRB checks but I certainly havn't been asked for any payment and mine's going through just now. So I presume what she has told you is correct. Am sure someone else will know for definite.

Yes, apparently Ofsted pay for these CRBs (thank goodness)!

Well done:clapping: yes they do, i had to have my DS done as he turned 16 last year, i didnt pay a penny:)

Phew, that's good news if I don't have to fork out for the CRB's then.

i rememeber how scared i was before mine:blush: but mine was lovely too, feels like ages ago now lol,

i've only been registered three weeks :blush:
