Should be fine, you are a registered childminder and that is what the college will pay for, family or not.

I think it is fine as long as youhave a non-family member on your books too - but I could be wrong on that:rolleyes: :)

So can i confirm:

You dont have to be registered to care for a family member, but if do and you are Registered, they can claim Working Family Tax?

Is that right?

you can only claim working family tax credit if you work more than 16 hours or 30 hours to get the increased element otherwise its the basic tax credit and yes it's fine so long as your a registered minder.

If you are recieving any type of reward for caring for a child - family or non family, you do have to be registered.

As for the tax etc. Im afraid I am clueless!
