Hi

I've had an enquiry for a baby next year, baby not been born yet but they would like to get childcare sorted, they are due to visit me next week.

Was wondering how you go about fees, somebody said your not allowed to charge a retainer until the baby has been born, anybody else had an enquiry like this?

Thanks Shell x

You would need a deposit rather than a retainer. Someone will be along soon I am sure who could help you out more :)

You could take a non refundable deposit of say £100 until the baby is born and then a retainer thereafter, using the deposit first until it runs out

Good luck

I agree with Debbie, you can take a deposit which would secure the place for the child but if the parent changes her mind you keep the money or if you change your mind you have to give it back.
