For anyone with a child that has a brain injury (this include autism) the charity Cerebra is excellent.

From their website.

Who Do We Help?
Cerebra's aim is to help children of 16 and under with brain injury (both traumatic and acquired) and neurological problems.

These problems manifest themselves in conditions such as cerebral palsy, autistic spectrum disorder, epilepsy, learning difficulties, ADHD, behavioural and emotional problems or developmental delay.

Cerebra helps 3 main groups of people:

The children themselves
Their parents and carers
Professional practitioners that deal with them
