hi,

wonder if anyone can help.....i am 32 this year, when i was 21 i recieved a criminal conviction for council tax arrears...would this effect me regestering as a child minder?? It was during my teenage years, was young and struggling, my circumstances are alot different now....than:) ks

I don't think it should matter as it's not as though it's offences against a person and it was so long ago. My partner had a few offences on his crb from years ago and OFSTED still registered me.

I wouldn't have thought so Sarah, it wasn't anything very serious was it.

There's a bit in the crb info pack that tells you the sort of thing that excludes you from getting registered. I think the only things are to do with drugs and children so you should be fine!

Have answered your pm.

Ofsted are checking a persons suitability to work with children so a fine would not come into it.
