My stepdad is giving me his desktop computer as he has recently purchased a laptop, can i get him 2 do us an invoice even if no money changes hands or is that against the rules??

Really you should only put a receipt through if you have actually purchase the item, if its your own childrens toys then you can buy them into childminding as you would have sold them but you are selling them to the business but with this you aren't actually paying for it so I would say no. Now if you handed the money over to him and then he gave it you back as a gift then technically you paid for the computer :)
