Sorry to hear you didn't get that job. As pip said though thing's tend to happen for a reason. Of that i am a firm believer. :)

Its horrible, isnt it...when that happens I have to really stop myself from phoning them up and going "wwwhyyyy? wwwhy dont you like mmeeeee????" like that!! :D
I just think some parents havent got a ruddy clue about good childcare. Its very annoying. And its hard not take take it personally, isnt it?
