We have one at the toy library so I borrowed it rather than buying one and tbh its rubbish :( . Very flimsy material (actually ripped in the end)and the pack of lights etc that you can buy seperately are rubbish too. Im going to try and make my own I think.

Oooh - Ive wanted one for ages. MrsMopple - apart from the flimsy material, why was it rubbish?

Well tbh it was mostly the flimsiness of the material that put me off. My co ordinator is sending it back as not fit for purpose. As I said, we had the light kit that is sold with it and it was rubbish. Bits broke really easily and some parts were too small for little kids. It was way overpriced for what it was

It goes up and down easily enough ( but is massive when up!), but I wouldnt buy one myself as I think I could make one just as effective for alot less.

A table and a heavy peice of material ,a blackout curtain works really well and you can add lights torches etc

My friend used blackout material and her cranium as it needed to come up and down everyday, she also got some battery lights from ikea for 99p :)

Our childminding co-ordinator bought one for us all to use as and when.

I borrowed it a couple of weeks ago and the children loved it. We had light up ducks which changed colour - 3 year old went inside and instantly began singing 5 little ducks without any prompting.

Not sure if it is something I would buy though. I would probably only use it now and again.

Be worth clubbing together with others and sharing.

I asked at our toy library today but they don't have one, she has made a note of it and when the April funding comes in she said she will consider it.

Annie - where can you get it from with the vouchers?

I used our pop up tent covered over with dark brown old curtains worked well (maybe not total blackout but almost)

kids loved it with torches and light colour changing flashing balls.

Good idea - maybe make a throw over cover made from black out material.
