am really fed up now, just rang the tax office as we are thinking of building a conservatory and i wanted to know how much i could claim, told them i was building it because of childminding and that if i didn't mind i wouldnt build one and they said i cant claim anything because its on my house therefore it cant be exclusivly used for minding, asked if i could claim a certain percent and they again said no because its not being used exclusivly for minding as its our only way to the back garden and we would use it weekends. she did say she would ask an inspectore to call me within 10days to confirm this. but now i really got the hump cause was hoping i could claim a certain percent.

The other thing you need to remember is that if you claim any or all of this buliding as part of o business expense you will be liable for Captial Gains Tax when you sell your house:eek:
