What sort of meals do you provide for your weaning babies who are in stage 2? I am really struggling for ideas :(

I am a really :censored: cook and want to be able to do more, where can I find easy and quick recipes? for both the weaning baby and all of the other children!!

I have a book called Feed Me! by Gerrie Hawes which is really good. It goes right through from weaning to nearly adult food. I can't remember where I got it but the ISBN is 1-85626-615-X published by Kyle Cathie Limited, 122 Arlington Road London NW1 7HP in 2005.

I do the same - ask them to provide meals until baby can eat what I offer.

I might change my policies to this as I am struggling ready for when the next one comes along, Do you have it written down in a policy or just tell the parents?

I do this too!

It's too risky introducing new foods that they might be allergic to etc. I let the parents do the work.

I will give a banana or similar if child gets hungry though :D

I have it in my initial policies and it's mentioned in my welcome booklet. then when the time comes I remind parents and ask them to give me a few jars / frozen meals etc for emergencies and the rest to send each session.

I use that one too, great little ideas in there and I batch cook and freeze, also I explain to parents that I wont give their child new foods until they have been introduced at home first, they update a list of foods their child has eaten in order of preference. hth :clapping:
