Wow just had a look and it seems everyone is doing it! I never thought to advertise on ebay and would never have thought to look for a childminder on there if I am honest!

I guess its worth a try although all my enquiries come through the local council, keep them updated when you have a vacancy.

school receptions are a good idea too and local pre schools

Have now changed it. I thought I had selected that my whole address would not be shown.

Thank you for pointing that out to me.

Not that I wish to **** on anybodies bonfire, but I would be seriously sceptical of a parent who found childcare on any site such as: Gumtree, Netmums, Ebay etc.

I had a lovely nanny job I found via Netmums and have had quite a few children and enquiries through there too.

I have had one or two off Gumtree and only put myself on Ebay yesterday!!!

The worst one I advertised on is yell.com as all I get are cold callers asking if I want this and that. Wont do that again when it runs out (although did get a temporary babysitting job from it)
