He's not been sick or the other but he says his eye hurts (he bumpt it over the weekend) and the opposite arm has gone all funny, hes 7 and is laying on my sofa at the mo watching lazy town. the school has tried to get hold of his mum but with no luck, I have left a message and will try again in a bit.

should I ask mum to collect?? he's a before and after school care. do I need to fill out any other forms???

I guess it's personal choice but if it was me I'd be suggesting Mum took him to doctor's just in case....

If school have sent him home, then I would say mum needs to collect him & take him to the doctors.

Have the school supplied you with a letter for mum?

I agree he should go to the Drs. I would also note down some where how he's feeling today, perhaps in your existing injuries form?

If he's not well enough to be at school, he's not well enough to ba with you! Send him home

Did the school call you to pick him up? Why?
Surely if a child has to be sent home they should get in touch with the parent!!!

What if this happens when you have other children???

my school doesnt offer a form either I have to request which i always do when teachers inform me of accidents.

I would contact the other emergancy contacts on your child record form and send the child into their care. Make sure you charge for the addition hours you have him for too.

Poor chap, he really needs to be seen by a GP. Hurting eye and numbness just makes alarm bells ring in my head :( Did he bang his eye and scratch it? I've had that it the past and it hurts like hell.
Hope he feels better soon.

he fell and bumped it on the door during the weekend, his mum came to get him and took him to the docs, they think he had a migraine.
The school had the wrong number and called me as they know I mind him and he was inconsolable. (the office know me quiet well Im in there all the time with my own kids lol) I have the number where she is studying to be a teacher so contacted her on that. it turns out the school hadn't updated it.
