potty training

Any advice

Parent has text me today to say she has started p.training over the weekend and wants me to continue. I'm happy to do this however I'm not sure that the child is ready aged 2 yr 5months. Only once has he said ' I've pooed'.

I'm concerned as I personally feel that the parent should dedicate some time to this at home for at least a week first, especially as the child is at nursery 8-1 with me 1-5. I think this is a bit all over to start training. Any thoughts??

Would it not have been a better time during half term or in 3 months time when shes on maternity????:idea:

I would say that I was happy to continue it but please bring a nappy for bed time and plenty of changes of clothes for nursery.

If it isn't successful for a couple of days I would then readdress it with the parents and explain that the child isn't ready.

I have a friend whose daughter isn't 2 until May and she is dry day and night and others are 3, just depends on the child.
