Hi

I was just looking for some information on a particular plant, quacking grass and stumbled over this document about plants for a Sensory Garden by the the RHS. I have posted the link below, apologies if it doesn't work fingers crossed.

Can anyone suggest anything else that can go into a sensory garden?

oh very nice

I went to homebase and bought some mini gardens ... jungle in a box and faries in a box.

the jungle box has a tickling plat i cant remember its real name right now but if you touch its leaves with a straw or pencil it curls up .... mine hasnt grown big enough yet so not tested it out. there is no warning about touching with hands just states straw or pencil so will stick to those guidleines.

I dont need anyone reacting to a plant.

My mum went blind before she died so a lot of what is in my garden I planted for her. I have chocolate mint, curry plants, lemon grass, lavender and all manor of herbs for smell. Bamboo, grasses and wind chimes for sound.

The wonderful thing about a plant like chocolate mint is not only does it smells heavenly but if the children sneak a taste it wont hurt them

I will go to homebase and find out the name of the plant....if its the same as the one i'm thinking of its perfectly safe to touch with fingers (although, to be honest you won't really feel much...its more of a visual thing!)
