We have been warned about a scam for childcare in cornwall just thought i'd pass it on incase he tries other areas

Three childminders in North Cornwall have been contacted by an Ian Rees, who says he is living in America and looking for full time childcare for his grand-daughter. This is a scam.

One of the childminders has spoken to NCMA who confirms he sends a deposit, which he deliberately overpays and requests a partial refund, when the childminder sends back the difference they find that his cheque bounces.

If you feel you have been approached by this person, please contact your local NCMA representative and/or your local Childcare and Play Development Team.
