Help needed-GALT table in Charity shop

Hi, In my local charity shop there is a GALT table.

Now normally I would have snapped it up but I'm not sure what you do with it.


It was donated from a nursery.


It is square - about 18 inches square.

It has a plastic dome in the middle and cars/vehilcles and a roundabout inside.

But you can't get to them!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have any ideas as I may miss a bargain if someone knows what to do with it in my village.:)

Have you had a look on the Galt (http://www.galt.co.uk/)website, I seem to remember seeing something similar before that used magnets on sticks under the table to move the cars.

Yes, it has yellow keys or sticks (4 of them) attached to string. But there are no magnets on the end of the sticks (possibly fallen off).


I phoned GALT and they said I would have to take a picture and send it in for them to help further - a description over the phone didn't help.


Had a look on the GALT website and nothing similar.

I have a feeling the magnets were out of sight inside the sticks maybe? Are the sticks plastic?

Yes, the sticks are plastic.

But the thing is playing with it would be very frustrating if they are only moved with magnets - I would want to take the dome off and hold the vehicles.
