i was registered in Novemeber and was told i would have my first inspection in about 5 months time so that will be about March. The thing is i dont know the first thing about Birth to three as when i started working in a day nursery they said they would train me up on it but never did so i did observations but then other staff would help me link it into the b23 but never really understood it then i left to be a childminder i was told in the inspections i will be asked about b23 and will have to show obseravtions and things on the b23 so i am panicing as i dont know anything about it? i know the foundation stage is coming in in sept and i have been on a course on that and to be far struggled with that only as it was a short intro to and and all they did was dicuss the difference between that and birth to 3 wel i u dont know b23 you cant discuss the differences lol. but as my inspection is b4 sept it will be on b23 i was thinking of caling my development officer and seeing if she could help.

Kelly, you're not alone. I became registered in Oct and still haven't done the B23 course either. I'm due to do the very last course in March. I'm doing the best I can in the meantime with no training. I've had help from Angel, Tasha and and some other lovely people on the forum who gladly gave up their time for me (thanks ladies :) ) so I can implement a few things but it's all a bit sketchy and I feel out of my depth. A lot of it is probably due to my own lack of self-confidence and my being a perfectionist!

If Ofsted aren't satisfied, I don't see what else I can do. Pardon my French but :censored: 'em :D.
Maybe they wont be too concerned at our inspections because it's all changing to EYFS in Sept anyway.

Try not to freak yourself out over it as I've done enough for both of us :D and PM me if you'd like.
