I drew the outline and my DD (aged 7) coloured it in for our hungry caterpillar story bag made from the bags I've just bought. On one side is the caterpillar on the other a butterfly.

Thats lovely.I keep promising to make myself some too but never seem to get around to it.I once made 26 alphabet sacks for my local first school though which they use in foundation class to hold items beginning with the letter A etc

What size bag did you use?

Think I will do The tiger who came to tea and Room on the Broom as they are favourites :)

T-shirt transfer paper for your printer and an iron are your friends ;)

I made a bag of songs all about the number 5 for my son's teacher when she left our school at the end of last year with several of these (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-SONG-TEACHING-MITTS-FIVE-LITTLE-MEN-HAND-PUPPET_W0QQitemZ390027127700QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ Toys_PreSchool_RL?hash=item390027127700&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72:1683|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318) mitts in it and it was so easy to do. Just made up an image to transfer onto the bag from clip art I found on the web, printed it out and ironed it on :)

I cant draw either Sarah but went to an art workshop and learnt a cool trick hee hee

simple really but trace the image you want on the bag then put it inside the bag make sure you have enough light then trace the image again onto the bag .... pretty cool simple and now all i need are bags lol as i am using old pillow cases at the moment.
