I have 9 children here today (4 are my own!). Aged 21 months - 10 years :panic:

This morning we've made salt dough (baking on the oven now).

Collected bugs in the garden.

Bounced on the trampoline.

Rescued a bird from the cat (I think it's died now but I ain't telling 9 children that )

Played with the tortoises.

Built a castle in the sandpit.

Linked 8 DS's together for cooking mama and mario kart (I won both games! :D )

Made a jelly for tea.

All eaten lunch (I had my Cambridge diet soup!).

Now we're all watching Robots on the telly..........oh the peace is wonderful!

Oh and I've managed to get 2 loads of washing out on the line today too!

Hope you are all loving half term as much as me :clapping: :clapping:

 wow
my dd has chicken pox so we cant go to public places but today we have:
played rugby and football in garden
put the tunnel at the bottom of the slide for an obstacle course
did some colouring
some very noisy singing and dancing
now the girls are putting their "babies" to bed on the cushions on the floor
ds is playing sportacus in his "airship"
and i am going to sit down with a cup of tea and watch the news !!!!

2 have gone home and one is in her cot and one is watching spongebob while i have 5 minutes chatting to you then we will bake some biscuits or make flapjacks depending on what ingredients we have in.
but sometimes the tv can be a wonderful thing

TV would be fabulous if I could get my current mindee to watch it! Found her hard work - she has no interest in arts and crafts, baking .. ANY activity :( all she wants to do is for me to watch her play traffic jams with the cars  I put the little mermaid on for her the other day as I needed a break she watched it for 5 minutes then said "is is finished - can we play with the cars now?"

Sounds like your having a great day!

Sounds like you've had a busy day so far - I bet the kids are having a great time. It's nice to have a breather though & put the tv on for a wee while to have a rest

does she watch it a lot at home? I always find those that have it on all the time at home won't sit and watch it but those (like my own) that only watch small amounts will glue to it!!!
I always think tv is for sitting, chilling and watching, not to have on as background noise whilst you play, put it on yesterday, 1 was to young to take an interest, and the other 2 carried on playing so i said if you not going to sit and watch it we might aswell turn it off and play NO came the reply but they still ignored it and carried on playing so i turned it off, after all they werent watching, then all hell broke loose cause they wanted to watch it!! just cant win today.
