Just made my first story sack

Well, when I say my first, I do have some but this one I actually made the bag for ( I normally buy them :blush: )

Its the first time Ive used a sewing machine in 25yrs so Im rather proud of myself :D

Its for all my Chinese New Year stuff

I like that material! Where did you find it?

It was in a shop in Basingstoke called Cutting Edge. It was pretty cheap too I think :thumbsup:

I have a length left, just have to decide what to do with it. I'm thinking of doing a small scented beanbag ( smelling of chinese spices) for my treasure basket, and I may even get adventurous and make a dress for the dollies from it (need a bit more practice first though!). May just hem some too so it can be used as a tablecloth for Chinese Restaurant role play :)

I'm inspired now to use the sewing machine more (not sure when Ill get the time though!) so watch this space :D
