hubby assistan need first aid??

thinking of registering my OH as my assistant purley because he is a builder and somtimes he is out of work or at home if the wether is bad, if hes at home he likes to play with the children and i thought it best if he was an assistant so he is coverd if somthing happens, also though i thought it would be good so that if its raining i can leave the littleys with him while i do the school run,
would he need a first aid certificate for this and how long can i leave the children with him, somtimes we pop in the park on the way home.

With parents written permission he can look after little ones (Eyfs children) for short periods of time eg school pick ups.

If he is left on his own with children he needs first aid.

Due to the new regulations as things stand he cannot be left on his own with older children as an assistant.

I'd ring Ofsted and take it from there 08456 404040
