I started with my first mindees today, they are 4 and 7
Had an enquiry through another childminder asking for care for 3 kids
8 month old baby
20 month old toddler
3 year old
Had to turn them down and I'm gutted

That's really difficult for you, if this other enquiry would really be better for you, maybe you should consider asking the mum to visit. You are probably in a probation period, although I would not want to be known as someone who gives up children easily if it meant filling all my spaces I would look at taking on the other family.

Awww. Thats a shame hebs. but on the positive side, your name is getting known and its great to be in the position where you are a wanted women!!!!! :D Hows the first day gone???

Hebs, couldn't you have applied for a variation for 4 under 5s?
I wouldn't give up on my new starters its not fair,
The local minders said my phone will never stop ringing lol
Today has been great so far, all kids are in school/nursery tea in oven pudding in fridge ready to go when we get in cos 4 year old j wants to make cakes after tea lol

Never mind, a bird in the hand and all that....... you have 2 now you can start to build around them. Nice to have enquiries coming in though and as has been said, your name is being passed around.
