charge for late collection?

My parent is often 5-10 mins late picking up because the traffic is always so bad.

She always phones me to let me know & I don't feel it fair to charge her.

When do you start charging a late collection fee?

It is always a difficult one

I have had a parent like that in the past and never charged her late fee

Maybe you could ask her if she wants to change her contract hours if it is a regular thing

Do a newsletter reminding parents if they are late they will get charged

Do you have a late fee policy anyway ???

Then after giving out the newsletter ask if it is going to cause her problems being charged late fee - say to her it might be better if she changes her contract times
She will think you are trying to help her then haha

At my daughers nursery the manager will NOT allow any one through the door before 7am when they open

She charges them £10 for every 15 min that they are late

Imagine that !!!

I agree with the others

I would charge late payment fee if I thought the parent was taking the p**s
