Ok calling all northern peeps, Hebs and I have been chatting and thinking it might be nice to have a meet up.

York appears to be a good venue so far for everyone

Any suggestions for good times/dates - perhaps March time????? March seems to be a bit of hard time for everyone - what about april 4th???

Hebs
01-02-2009, 10:38 PM

how many miles away - perhaps you could make a weekend of it and stop with the in-laws, perhaps we could all pile round there and kip on their floor after a drunken night out.

Hubby just informed me that we are 328 miles away:eek:

Could be an interesting pub crawl, ha ha!!!! The inlaws like a drink and are up for a laugh but not sure what they would think of being invaded by drunken childminders!!!! lol!!!! My mother in law would probably want to be part of the gang though as she was a childminder many years ago!!!:D

After the invite on the other thread Pipsqueak, I thought I'd better contribute here too (go green!). The idea of the meet up is appealing though Newcastle is a bit far for me and I'm on holiday for a week from 7th (Skiing in France!! sorry there's no room in my suitcase:laughing: )
Leeds?
York?

.......anyone?

Pipsqueak
01-02-2009, 10:58 PM

York it is then

Any specific dates to avoid. Think mine is around teh 15th of March (although will have to doubly confirm that) that I can't do - so perhaps towards teh end of March? 28th????

cher25
01-02-2009, 11:20 PM
I have just checked train tickets from newcastle city centre, i could afford to do that. Might be an expensive day for me, but worth it to meet people from here. :)

Don't know York at all but DP has been out there and had a good time! I 'm closer to Harrogate and Leeds!! Should be fun and if you know someone who goes out in York, its even better - where to go, where to avoid ;)

4th April o.k for me too but will depend on getting a pass out for the day without kids! :p

Well if we EVER get any summer,

I will post a camping in a field get together

No room to pay for.., just petrol to get here and I think we could do a big bbq to feed everyone. everyone could bring a bit.

What do you think ;)

You can't fall out of bed if you are drunk as you will be on the floor anyway

No noise to keep you awake.

A cheap weekend if ever I thought of one :clapping:
