Hi

I was wondering who you insure your buildings and contents through, I was with Tesco who covered my being a Childminder, however their quote was £454.64 this year, double what it was last year.

I phoned the AA and they said they wont insure me as I am a Childminder. :(

I am with Layton Blackham (they are the Ncma insurer)...

They offered me a good deal, they like childminders and I can pay monthly for no extra.

I think they have just changed their name :D

I even got accidental damage cover if a mindee damages something..

(it kept df happy, he won a 40" lcd tv at work and he was scared it would get broken and us not be covered!)

I have had bad experince with NCMA Bluefin (was Layton Blackham).

I insured through Churchill in December, much cheaper than Bluefin anyway.

Also did car insurance in Jan, Bluefins renewal quote was very high and they charge a £20 fee. I saved £120 going to Churchill. I have beeen driving since 1973 and have had 3 accidents in that time the last one was more than 20yrs ago, I dont live in a high risk area so overall not high risk. I drive a 2000 diesel, 3yr old, Skoda Octavia.
