Might get some for my own children! I used to write my mobile number on their arm or give them a piece of paper with it on.
Good idea having a wristband, can't get lost or rubbed off.

For older children (like mine who are 'too big') I use the rubber band-type bracelets that you buy for charity, with details in permanent marker on the inside. They like them and know that the information is there is needed. :)

do you know what they're called please? I just went to boots.com but cannot find them - searched 'identity' identity bracelet', 'name' and 'bracelet'. lol

I get mine from

http://www.familysafeshop.co.uk/

the orange and black straps are thinner and better for the younger children. they have a pull out plastic thingy to write your name and phone number on it, its tucked away so the ink does not contact the skin causing it to smudge.

All of my mindees and my own kiddies love to waer them and they all know how to show a grown up where the number is to call me.

I have the tags too from the same site but the kiddies tend to tug at them and the loop starts to get thin then split. nice idea but not much use for a child who twiddles with things.

I think I would use the NCMA ones as it also shows the child is being looked after by a childminder ... this might be useful for child in case person says lets look for mummy etc ... child could get more upset if lost etc ..

I've just bought these off ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=370221536051

They are rubber bracelets and my plan is to just write my mobile number on plus any emergency info for that child such as allergies. They are reusable and cost £3.

I just looked at them, lol!

Wasn't sure how ofsted would feel about kiddies wearing bands that said 'boys are stupid' though, lol!

What do yours have written on them, are they all different?
