Caught your attention!!!!!!!
Sorry, its really boring but been pondering the idea of hiring an 8 seater car for school holiday times and wondered if anyone else has done this and whether I could put the cost off against my tax bill as would only use it for childminding as have my own car for family etc??!!
Any advice greatly received!!!

8 seaters are great and you will have loads of fun. Put the whole lot against tax including any extra insurance and all petrol.

great idea! don't see why you couldn't put it in tax as it's a necessity to provide a safe service to all children as you can't fit them all in a 5 seaters safely, to discover the world around them, satisfy their need of outdoor activities ect.... that's safe child, equal opportunity, KNU,......:goodjob:

If you out it against tax, it is then property of your business.

Cant remember what it is called now but you put half through first year and then put rest of the cost through year by year. When you sell it, the money has to go through your books as income.

I will look my tax notes out tomorrow and get back to you but we did an evening about this on my course!
