i would keep some receipts to prove you are using the car and how much your spending. keeping the miles diary alongside your attendence record should be enough but extra proof never hurts.

You cannot claim mileage and petrol the .40p covers everything

i think i read it wrong cos i assumed thats what she meant. Re reading it you could be right that she means can she put miles AND petrol receipts through.

Basically i would keep petrol receipts to back up your claim for 40p/mile.

If it helps I keep a note book in the car so I note down cm milage then transfer to the acconts book at the end of the month.

Dont forget to note down your trip to the bank to pay your cheques in,mine adds up to £67.80per an. and the weekly trip to Tesco, mine is £96per an.

I will be claiming approx £800 this year for milage.

Soz if i have made this a bit confusing, what i am doing is writing down the 40p amap and then times it by miles eg: i do 4miles, so writing in my accounts £1.60 amap for each trip i do...... If this is any less confusing..... Pleaseeeeeeeee could someone make it less confusing and tell me if im on the right track.....:panic:

Youve got it:clapping: :clapping:

So my trips to Tesco adding up to £96 per year mean a round trip of 5 miles at 40p £2 per week for 48 weeks.
