Just before christmas I had a letter from our County Council saying that they were giving out substantial money to help childminders do their jobs properly and I had to fill out a form and tell them about all the things I needed.Multicultural toys, books, anything for the garden, printers, cameras, laptops.
Everything would be the property of the Council and I would have to put stickers on it saying this.
They would consider anything,I put a Laptop for children,Camera as mine is broken and a few multicultural books and toys and a wooden house for the garden it all came to about £700.00,I had to write down where I would get it from, part numbers the lot.It had to be in by January 8th so I am just waiting to see if I am lucky.
When I first did it I thought £700.00 was a lot but then if you don't ask you don't get and they did say substantial money.

Weve been offered £2500, with the chance in April to apply for funding for ectensions etc. I'm hoping to convert the garage to a playroom.

It seems EXTREMELY unfair that some are getting nothing.

Hi

I'm in Crewe and we got the digi camera and printer. Do you think it is because Cheshire boundaries are changing and they want to spend the money before that? - that's what we are thinking.

Been using the camera and printer lots.
