i am starting a new baby tomorrow, he is 4 months old - i already care for a 13 month old 2 days a week, does anyone know if it would be ok to use one of the samsonite pop up travel cots 2 days a week for him rather than having to purchase a second travel cot that i really don't have space for?

When dd was that age, she used to sleep in one I got from Vert baudet during the day. They are very comfortable as well padded.
I don't see a problem with it but you might want to ask the parent to sign something to say ok.

When my ds was very little ( probably about that age ) we borrowed a pop up travel cot from a friend to take on holiday with us. It was great, didn't have any problems with it and he slept really well  . Its a good idea to check with parent first so you are covered though

I would double check with them but I wouldn't have thought it would be a problem. I used to use one for my DD and really like it:)

Ok BUT if the baby rolls or crawls beware. We used to have a Samsonite one and my daughter figured out if she leaned onto the side she could roll it over :panic:
We sold it on ebay and bought a proper one from mothercare, will never look back.

sorry but it make more sense to purchse the 2nd travel cot as when the 4 mth gets older he wont b suitable for the pop up one, also like already said if he works out how 2 lean over he may have an accident.

As for space hmmm need to work that one out myself, although in saying that I have a travel cot in my sons bedroom and he's room is very very small, I just fold it down every evening

You may want to consider something like the item in the link i've given below -

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GRACO-PETITE-PETIT-BASSINET-TRAVEL-COT-BUTTERSCOTCH_W0QQitemZ200303039883QQcmdZViewItemQQ ptZUK_Baby_Nursery_Furniture_ET?hash=item200303039 883&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A13 18

I have a regular sized travel cot and I also have one exactly the same as the one in the link, I bought it so I could keep it downstairs in our front room and think its fab!

Alternatively, I would recommend getting a regular sized travel cot so that little ones will grow into them.

Hope this helps xx

Think this is a fab idea but just checked the link and it says for babies up to three months but no mention of actual dimensions - what age do you use it for and roughly how big is it please?
