My mum is living in Framce and comes twice a year to stay in the house for a week. Does she need to be registered as well as living in the house?

I don;t see my mum or family much, all I do as only temperary is tell the parents of the children and make sure I never leave the children alone with her (which sounds awful but covers my back) and just put her down in my visitor book for the time at mine

Ring or email Ofsted for guidance... it will depend how long she is staying I think

Hi, if your mam is only visiting you twice a year for a week each time, then you don't need to do anything. My parent's and sibling's all live in scotland, they come down a few times a year but usually only weekends. If they are here during the working week though and were to stay over a week then i was told to let ofsted know, aswell as the parents, just to cover my back. I have my sister coming down on wed for a few day's and she wont be getting left with the children at anytime. Parent's are fine with it.
I do have it in my visitor's policy that family may visit me from time to time.
